Our family tried Bad Axe Throwing for the first time while we were in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Needless to say, we had a BLAST! This sport is a traditional Canadian backyard pastime that has become huge in urban communities.
To start, Coach Dia (as in quesadilla) gave us an axe safety talk along with some throwing tips. Then, she demonstrated proper techniques and guided us through three competitive games. To top it off, Coach Dia taught us a few advanced trick shots with double axes. She’s amazing!
Although, I did not personally hit the bullseye, I still felt pretty Bad Axe! The guys are naturals, especially our son Zac who consistently nailed it. He must be part lumberjack. See YouTube video below.
They have locations all over the US, UK and Canada. No experience necessary; all skill levels are welcome. You can even bring your own snacks and drinks for a fun time out. Adult beverages are also available to purchase. Give it a try for an awesome axe-perience! Click here for more information.
